All our balloons are registered aircraft with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Our balloons undergo regular maintenance & safety audits. Our equipment is state of the art ensuring our passengers safety and comfort.
Our Pilots
Beyond Ballooning employs a team of highly skilled pilots with a wealth of local knowledge and a strong emphasis on safety. Our pilots hold various overseas qualifications in both balloons and fixed wing aircraft and love their job!
Our Equipment
Our custom built trailers ensure your safety throughout the morning with no need for heavy lifting of the basket. All our transport vehicles are fitted with seatbelts.
Flight Flexibility
Beyond Ballooning offers a 100% flight fee refund if your flight is cancelled due to weather. This ensures that you are not stuck with a ticket if your only visiting the Hunter Valley and the flight is cancelled.
Our Crew
Beyond Ballooning ground crew attend regular safety training & are there to assist the pilots & passengers to ensure you have a safe morning but most of all loads of fun! Beyond Ballooning is a locally owned business in every sense of the word.

NATHAN ALLEN
Chief Pilot & General Manager
Nathan lives and breathes hot air ballooning. Along with holding a CASA Chief Pilot Rating & Maintenance Authority he enjoys adventure ballooning and travelling the world flying.
STEVE ALLEN
Senior Pilot & Director
Steve has been in love with ballooning from his first flight 20 years ago with a friend. When not flying in the Hunter Valley Steve enjoys flying abroad in unique locations like the Masai Mara, Kenya.
JULIA ALLEN
Administration & Bookings Team
Julia is married to Steve and manages the Beyond Ballooning office operations. Julia assists our bookings team along with networking with local industry partners.

Danny has been friends with Nathan since high school and has been a ground crew member since Beyond Ballooning started. Danny now holds a commercial balloon license and enjoys the job from the air rather than the ground.
